Anete Štāmere solo art exhibition “I Grow” 03.02.–01.03.2016

Painting for me as a meditation, resting from everyday.

Exhibition are made of my works of arts from different periods, the start-up phase in 2006, when I imitated famous artist paintings in Latvian Art Academy courses and the last four years, in which I restarted to paint in my free time.

Works are made in different techniques. I am still in a search of what I enjoy the most, so we can see everything – from the most basic flower paintings, up to abstract landscapes.

I am proud of my first art works: reproductions Pablo Picasso “Composition with Skull” and Henri Matisse “Still Life with Blue Tablecloth”.

The main focus of the exhibition is on the sea, a place where I spent my summers with my grandparents and where I still go to find peace and to draw energy.

You can see one large-scale drawing of a horse in motion “Cabinet de curiosités” author is unknown. It features a horse in motion. I remembered how much I love to draw!

Enjoy my growth! I grow.

Opening of the exhibition: 6th February 1PM!
